Landzie AeroCore Rolling Aerator – Quick, Easy, and Affordable Lawn Aeration
Rolling onto a lawn near you, the Landzie AeroCore makes aeration faster, easier, and more affordable than ever. Traditional aeration is either backbreaking or costly—manual tools require exhausting effort, while powered aerators drain your wallet.
The all-new Landzie AeroCore Rolling Aerator bridges the gap, delivering professional-quality lawn aeration in a lightweight, easy-to-use rolling design. With its innovative chamfered tines, heavy-duty steel construction, and ergonomic handle, the AeroCore pulls deep soil plugs to relieve compaction, improve root health, and create a lush, resilient lawn.
AeroCore Rolling Aerator: What it does & When to Use it!
For peak performance, the Landzie AeroCore is designed for use on established lawns with healthy topsoil. When grass is well-rooted and the soil is in good condition, the AeroCore pulls clean, even plugs that boost airflow, water absorption, and nutrient delivery.
Like most manual aerators, the AeroCore can struggle in tough, compacted soils, such as clay. Its dense, sticky texture compacts tightly, preventing deep penetration and clogging the tines.
For homeowners with established lawns and good topsoil, the AeroCore provides the perfect balance of efficiency, ease, and affordability in lawn aeration.
Why Choose the Landzie AeroCore Rolling Aerator?
✔ Heavy-Duty, All-Steel Construction – Built to Landzie’s professional standards, the AeroCore is made from powder-coated heavy-gauge steel for durability, rust resistance, and long-lasting performance.
✔ Innovative Chamfered Tines – Our all-new chamfered tine design features sharp, rounded edges that cut deeper into compacted soil, reduce clogging, and eject soil cores smoothly for frustration-free aeration.
✔ Rolling Drum Design – Balanced, precision-guided performance ensures consistent core removal without tearing up your turf.
✔ Single or Duo Model Options – Choose the AeroCore Rolling Aerator for lightweight maneuverability on small to medium lawns, or upgrade to the AeroCore Duo for double the tine rows, faster coverage, and maximum penetration on large or heavily compacted lawns.
✔ Ergonomic Comfort Grip – Designed for ease of use, the cushioned handle reduces strain so you can aerate longer without fatigue.
✔ Eco-Friendly Lawn Care – Quiet, manual, and emission-free—skip the noisy gas-powered aerators and still achieve professional results.
✔ Built for All Soil Types – Performs on clay, silt, sandy, or loamy soils, pulling thick, full cores for stronger, deeper root systems.

How Aeration Benefits Your Lawn
Soil compaction is one of the biggest obstacles to healthy grass growth. By pulling deep cores from your lawn, the AeroCore:
- Breaks up compacted soil
- Improves water absorption and drainage
- Allows oxygen and nutrients to reach roots
- Stimulates stronger, deeper root growth
- Reduces thatch buildup
- Prepares soil for overseeding and fertilization
The result is a lawn that’s greener, thicker, and more resilient year-round.
How Often Should You Aerate?
- Once per year (spring or fall): Ideal for most cool-season grasses like fescue, bluegrass, and rye.
- Twice per year (spring + fall): Recommended for heavy clay soils or high-traffic lawns with kids, pets, or entertaining.
- Every 2–3 years: Suitable for sandy soils or low-traffic lawns.
👉 If you notice puddling, thinning grass, or shallow roots, it’s time to aerate.

A fantastic tool that is perfect for my small lawn. Built for years of service, and I will be putting it to good use

I have been waiting for a well known vendor to come out with a product to core aerate a lawn, so I did not have to hire a company or rent a machine. Landzie makes great quality products and this one is no exception. I heavily watered my lawn before using it. I would recommend only lightly watering your lawn as the drenching made it tough to roll this. I did it the next day with a slightly moist lawn and it rolled much easier, with perfect core’s. None of the core’s jammed up, like I have experienced with another vendors manual step aerator tool. My lawn looks amazing. I actually looking forward to aerating in the Spring, so I can see the results of a Fall and Spring aeration.

I ordered the Landzie Aerocore as soon as I found out it was available. It’s extremely sturdy, well made and heavy. It was reasonably well packed, but one of the tubes on the fork was dented from the weight of the heavy cast iron roller, in the shipping, even though there was an inch of cardboard separating the roller from the fork assembly. I could probably get that part replaced, but it seemed more cosmetic to me for a tool that’s going to be used. There were no instructions in my box, but assembly was straightforward.
The Aerocore has enough weight that it easily make 1 to 1 1/2 inch deep plugs in my lawn, as long as it’s not bone dry, or completely soaked. If the lawn is bone dry the holes won’t be as deep, and if it’s saturated the roller can get bogged down a bit. The Aerocore worked exactly as expected as long as the soil isn’t on either extreme.
The only other thing I’ll add is you’ll get quite the workout depending on how big a lawn you have. My 4000 square foot yard took me a little over 2 hours to complete, and it was quite the workout. That’s longer than it would take renting a machine, but I’ve already aerated twice. So I look at it as saving money in the long run and getting a good workout every time I use it. Just be aware you have to be in reasonable shape to use it (I’m 59 and average fitness).

The AeroCore Aerator works well, but it’s a real work out. Because of recent rain, the sod was in good shape to aerate. I took my time and was able to get the core shafts to essentially bottom out. I figured that’s the point, get deep aeration. With that said, the process takes time and a lot of effort.

I bought my Single AreoCore Rolling Aerator in the October of 2025 after I’d shut my sprinklers down for the year. I watered the lawns by hand a ran the aerator over then the next day. My watering was uneven and I had spots where the tines wanted to ride up on the lawn and other wetter spot where it was a little muddy. Each lawn is about 1600 sqft and I’d guess it took me 20 mins each. This spring we had about an inch of snow and rain over two days and ran the aerator over both lawns again and the soil was perfect of the machine. I fertilized 10 days before when another rain was supposed to come and didn’t. My lawn is looking so much better that last year. I’ve got a pretty high clay content, so I plan to run it twice a year.

I was kinda skeptical about this especially since I have very compacted soil but it worked beyond what I had hoped even with barely damp soil, this did the job pulling close to 3″ plugs you can really do a medium size lawn in a short amount of time very happy with it
